James Ross & Robert George Ross - WW1 CasualitiesMy Grandmothers Brothers - James Tait Ross ( Left ) Lance Serjeant , Cameron Highlanders , 5th Battalion & Robert George Ross ( Right ) Lance Corporal , Seaforth Highlanders , 5th Battalion , both Died in WW1 a year apart in July 1915 and 1916 , their was a year between them so they both died aged 27 , Both lived in Spean Bridge the time they died but they and my Grandmother Ellizabeth Catherine Ross ( Gow ) came from Inverlair / Fersit / Loch Treig Area, My Grandmother was the post mistress at Spean at the Time and twice has to hand her Father the Black Bordered letters informing him both his sons had died , she never got over their death and both pictures above hung in her family home at Whitebridge & Caol , Plaques of her brothers deaths are in Kilmonivaig Church and the West Highland Museum in Fort William
