Lochaber Camanachd - Photograph from Tommy MacGregor.

I know a few names Tommy himself, Colin MacFadyen, Roddy and David Campbell, Ronnie MacIntosh, Billy MacLaughlin and John Andrews - but I'm sure others will fill in the gaps.

I reckon this photo in 1965 and Lochaber won the 3 Cups they entered , I am sure the Cups L-R are the Sutherland Cup , MacGilliveray Div 2 Cup & the Strathdearn Cup , They beat Ballachulish 3-1 to win the Sutherland Cup , Lochaber later won the Sutherland Cup again in 1983

Great to see the team photo, which was taken outside the old dining room windows of Spean Hotel .

Sad that four of these great team-mates are no longer with us but always remembered .

Think we could have a 50 year get together in a few years time ! great site with so much info . well done Peter .

Everyone is so kind with their comments for Sally and I , But its the co operation of everyone that has contributed that is making it so popular , Check your attic and older family relations for photos and if you dont know how to add them to the website ? Give your Photos to Sally or my sister Christine who will gladly Scan them , put them on for you and return them to you asap - As a boy working in Roybridge shop , we sold local postcards and I remember one showing the Top & Bottom Terrace , My mum used to send it to distant relatives with a X against 15 Mulroy Terrace to show where we lived , hope this one surfaces and the one of Mrs Connor sitting at Monnesie George I also remember a bithday Party of Keith Wilson with us all taken outside 1 Keppoch Terrace which he tells me he has and will put on the site .

Came across this by accident and reminded me of the good times in Spean Bridge. Worked in the hotel when Colin Macfadyen was there had a lots of good times doing the Lochaber Ball etc. Remember going to Inverness to Bught Park for a Cup match in the late 60's and getting grief of Jomo ( she was the cook for not getting back for my shift )
Ah! the good old days , Now nearing my sixty-second birthday but remember a lot of the faces in this photo. What happened to Colin last time I met him he was in Inverness?

Hi Jim
I remember when you were working in Spean Hotel. I was just a wee girl doing a holiday job in MacFarlane's shop, I had to do the bread and bacon run up to the hotel, and you locked me in the walk-in freezer in the kitchen. You had red hair ??
Am I right ?

Hullo Richard. What a pleasure to read the message you sent to me . I am so wrapped up on this website now because it brings back so many happy memories of my childhood days in Roybridge , Must tell you that Ian was a betting shop manager in Bristol but sadly he died in April 13 years ago due to a severe heart attack. Aged 27 and 30 also 1 boy aged 23 , anyway Richard I would love to meet you next summer when we are planning to drive up to Inverness to visit Vincent and Jean , please keep in touch through my email which is paddycarroll1949@gmail.com ,by the way is your brother Donny still in the district and is Danny Boyle still around the Lochaber area ?
