Ruin of the MacDonell Croft - 2018Picture of the ruin of the MacDonell Croft home taken from Cille Choirill Church yard, standing directly in front of the door of the church and looking across the A83 road and the River Spean. I am looking for evidence that my Great x 4 Grandparents left this place in 1848 when they were sent to Australia during the clearances. Ranald & Margaret MacDonell (nee MacKenzie) and 10 children (who all survived the voyage)

Ranald and Margaret McDonell were my Great x 3 Grandparents. I visited Monessie farm a few years ago. I live in Melbourne, Australia. They are buried in Sandon Church Cemetery, Victoria
